Shout out to our partners at the Lewiston Police Dept. Not only are they sporting purple ribbons and masks for DVAM 2020, they also have a dedicated patrol car with painted decals supporting survivors of abuse. Thank you for showing your support to the whole community!
Are you looking for a fashionable way to support the YWCA? This year we have purple purse tassels available through our website. If you purchase one during October, you also get your name into the drawing for one of two special purple purses! Check out our store to get your today!
We need your help! We are collecting school supplies for this year’s local distribution. Last year we helped 925 kids with school supplies so that they could start their school year off right, with the supplies they need. While this may be a unprecedented year with many unknowns, we do know children need the basic supplies to get the education they deserve! Drop donations at the YWCA at 300 Main St Lewiston, from 9-4 M-F. And stop by one of our two social distancing drive up distributions. For Washington Residents: Thursday August 20th from 10-3pm in the CHS senior parking lot on Chestnut & Beachview. For Idaho Residents: Friday August 21st from 10-3pm in front of the old LHS on 9th Ave.
A huge thank you to the Stinker Stations in Lewiston and Moscow for the hard work they put into the “Piece of Hope” campaign to raise money for children affected by domestic violence. They are wonderful community partners and we appreciate them so much!
Join us Monday, January 20, 2020 to celebrate!
There will be opportunities to volunteer throughout the community, and an evening full of inspirational programming at the YWCA.
Jake Williams, soon to be Eagle Scout from troop #248, transformed our playground to this brilliant pad of safe play. The bark is rubber, and the toys are FUN! This was Jake’s Eagle Scout project, which he put a lot of time and effort into and recruited many volunteers to help. We are so thankful for him and his father’s contribution and the kids are already enjoying it so much! Thank you Jake, for thinking of us with this awesome project and giving youth a brighter future! The picture below shows what the playground looked like before Jake got to work!
