NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH - What started at the turn of the century as an effort to gain a day of recognition for the significant contributions the first Americans made to the establishment and growth of the U.S., has resulted in a whole month being designated for that purpose. We'll be celebrating by highlighting the the portraits and stories in Project 562, which aims to explore the contemporary Native identity and experience.

WOMEN'S CONNECTION PURSE AUCTION - The Women's Connection is a non-profit organization that provides education, support and fellowship to local women. Our primary fundraiser is the Annual Purse Auction. This event has grown from a small group of women gathering for the holidays to an annual event with up to 450 in attandance raising over $20,000 for our YWCA domestic violence shelter program.
