Volunteer, get involved, service, community

Every volunteer contributes to the success of our programs and events, and we appreciate you very much. If not for our volunteers, we honestly could not move our mission forward. Many times volunteers operate behind-the-scenes, but if we didn't get support from our community we wouldn't so successfully impact it.

One Time

Come help on one special day or event! It may be one day or several days leading up to one event; United Way's Day of Caring is one day and our school supply drive takes weeks of prep for one event!

If you’d like to help out on a regular basis, we really appreciate having support in our front office and for ongoing projects! Volunteers should have the ability to come in at least once a month or more.

Our interns are like junior staff. We've hosted LCSC social work and psychology students to work with our advocates, but we've also had volunteers focus on web design and we're open to your ideas!

Our leaders and change-makers are volunteers, too. If you are interested in taking our mission into the future and to new heights please visit our Board of Directors page.

Open Opportunities

NEWSLETTER MAILING PREP - On Monday 1/30 at 10am here in our 300 Main Street office our staff and volunteers (like you!) will be folding, tabbing, and labeling around 1,000 newsletters to send to our community to share updates on our mission. This is a big job that always goes faster with many hands! This volunteer opportunity calls for a focus on details and will mostly be a seated activity better suited to adults than children. If you can help please call 208.743.1535 and confirm with Jonelle. We need to know how many people will be helping us out to better prepare, thank you!

SOUPPORT BOWL WASHING -  On Saturday 2/18 starting at 10am in our 300 Main Street office we will be sanitizing and bagging all the hand-painted bowls that become the souvenirs to our fundraiser SOUPport Our Shelters which will be held on 2/24/17. This volunteer opportunity involves washing, drying, and bagging breakable ceramic bowls so while we have welcomed careful teenagers we won't have activities for young children. If you can help please call 208.743.1535 and confirm with Jonelle. We need to know how many people will be helping us out to better prepare, thank you!

Please check back to view our current volunteer positions, we appreciate that you're interested in supporting our mission. We update our Facebook with odds and ends needs so be sure to follow us for up-to-the-date information!
